The design of the facelift model of Genesis' best-selling G80 was revealed. The new G80 has refined some of its exterior design and emphasized its high-tech feel through extensive interior design changes.

The interior of the new G80 is similar to the previously released new GV80. A new 3-spoke type steering wheel was applied, and representative examples include a 27-inch OLED wide display and a new air conditioner design. In addition, an electronic shift dial with a crystal design was applied to enhance the visual sense of luxury.

The biggest difference from the GV80 is the presence or absence of a cup holder cover located on the center console. The cover was removed from the GV80 during the facelift, but the cover was kept for the G80, creating a cleaner and more luxurious image. However, storage convenience was somewhat reduced as the additional storage space located in the front of the center console was lost.

Although it has not been released yet, the G80 Sports model has a layout similar to the GV80 Coupe model. Typically, a D-cut steering wheel will be applied, and the sporty design will be emphasized by applying two types of carbon garnishes (red/silver) that add luxury.

The new Genesis G80 has improved its design completeness by adding elaborate and colorful details to the existing model. A double mesh radiator grill and MLA (Micro Lens Array) type LED headlamp were applied, and a V-shaped muffler garnish inspired by the crest grill was applied to create a clean image.

The powertrain is based on a 2.5-liter gasoline turbo model, with a 3.5-liter gasoline turbo model as an option. In the case of the 3.5-liter gasoline turbo model, many specialized specifications such as rear-wheel steering are applied when the sports package is selected.

Meanwhile, Genesis plans to release detailed specifications and prices in line with the launch of the G80 facelift model.
