“HUD size is a whopping 87 inches” Porsche Macan EV’s high-tech interior is eye-catching

As the launch of the Porsche Macan EV approaches, the interior design of the Macan EV has been revealed. The Macan EV attracted attention by applying the same three displays as the latest Porsche model and an 87-inch HUD, the largest among mass-produced head-up displays.

The augmented reality HUD applied to the Porsche Macan EV displays functions such as the distance to the vehicle in front and direction indication, and the image seen through the glass reaches a whopping 87 inches. It also boasts excellent visibility, giving a sense of space of more than 9.1 meters (30 feet) in front.

There are three displays in total: digital cluster, infotainment display, and passenger seat display. The digital cluster has a 12.6-inch curved display, and the center display and passenger seat display are 10.9 inches.

The navigation supports Porsche's own navigation function and can also utilize the Google Map function. In addition to Porsche's own maps, Google maps can also be displayed in conjunction with the instrument panel, and additional apps can be installed by applying the infotainment system developed together with Google.

The Porsche Macan EV is an electric SUV developed based on the Volkswagen Group PPE platform. According to what is known so far, it is expected to be equipped with a 100kWh capacity battery and a dual motor with a maximum output of 600 horsepower. In addition, it is expected that a large number of technologies to improve driving performance, such as rear-wheel steering, will be installed.

Meanwhile, the Porsche Macan EV is scheduled to be released early next year, and detailed specifications and design will be revealed around the time of launch.
